1. About the consultation

The purpose of this consultation is to encourage feedback on the draft Cyber Security (Jersey) Law 202-, in particular the threshold requirements for Operators of Essential Services (OES).

In order to establish the Jersey Cyber Security Centre as independent from the Government of Jersey, legislation needs to be put in place outlining the scope of the work expected, appropriate governance and the security requirements of those deemed to be OESs.

The questions on the following pages focus on:

  • Part 4 (page 11) - Operators of Essential Services
  • Part 5 (page 12-13) - Security Duties on Operators of Essential Services
  • Schedule 3 (page 17) - Essential Services and Threshold Requirements (you are asked to describe which sector and/or sub-sector you represent before answering these questions)
  • Any other comments
